OPEN CALL: "Art-based Methods Inspired by Philosophy and Literature for Youth Training" (AMIPLYT)

Theater Schießbühne e.V. (Germany), Etaireia Symvouleftikis Ypostirixis kai Politistikon Drastiriotiton EN ARMONIA (Greece), Association-Compagnie NOURA (France)

are organising a blended training activity as part of the implementation of the "Art-based Methods Inspired by Philosophy and Literature for Youth Training" project and are inviting 24 youth trainers in art and humanities. It will take place on Skiathos Island in Greece from June 23 until July 02, 2023, in an exterior place in nature, which will be equipped by the Municipality of Skiathos.

In this activity, 24 youth trainers in art and humanities (including 12 with fewer opportunities) and 6 staff members (2 from each partner) will participate for 10 days. The 24 youth trainers will be selected by this open call. Eight (8) will be selected by SCHIESSBÜHNE (4 with fewer opportunities), 8 by EN ARMONIA (4 with fewer opportunities) and 8 by NOURA (4 with fewer opportunities).

The criteria for the selection of the 24 youth trainers will be the following:

- to be youth trainers in art (dance, theatre, dance-theatre, dance therapy) and humanities (literature, philosophy, sociology), with half of them to be youth trainers with fewer opportunities (economic and cultural obstacles, immigrant background),

- good communication in English,

- permission to travel around Europe,

- interest in sharing and promoting the results of the project,

- gender balance.

Through this activity, the participants, the partners and the target group will benefit by:

- improving their capacity to train young people to conceptualise social and humanistic values through art-based methods,

- promoting equal opportunities by involving participants with fewer opportunities in the project,

- developing environmental consciousness, adopting sustainable practices (sustainable food and means of transportation).

The expected results of this activity are:

- enhancement of the ability of youth trainers in art and humanities to develop tolerance, mutual understanding and respect for inclusion and diversity to young people, including those with fewer opportunities, by using art-based methods in youth training,

- enhancement of the ability of youth trainers in art and humanities to help young people, including those with fewer opportunities, to conceptualise values inspired by philosophical and literary texts and promoting respect for inclusion and diversity, by using a structured improvisation and experience-based movement methodology,

- enhancement of the access of open source art-based training tools to youth trainers and learners, including those with fewer opportunities, thus reducing disparities and promoting social inclusion,

- promotion of equal opportunities and access, inclusion, diversity and fairness by involving participants with fewer opportunities in this activity,

- reinforcement of cooperation with partners from other countries and other fields of education and training,

- development of environmental consciousness by implementing this activity with alternative greener ways.

In this blended training activity, the three organisations will cover the cost of the accommodations and meals of the participants for 10 days on Skiathos Island. Also, each France-based and Germany-based participant will receive 300 euros for travel expenses and each Greece-based participant will receive 180 euros for travel expenses.

Obligations of the participants:

Before this activity, the participants will be trained virtually for one month by the 3 partners.

The participants will be advised before travel to issue a European Health Insurance Card.

The participants will participate in daily workshops taught by the staff members of the three participating organisations who will use a digital handbook and a case study will be used as a training tool. This art-based training tool aims to help the participants to develop their professional skills and capacities, using as a tool the digital handbook and the case study.

At the end of this blended training activity, the participants will evaluate the quality of the organisation of this activity, its content and its impact on them.
